Who Are Bell & Son?
Bell & Son is an independent family Jewellers and was established in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire in 1998 by Keith Bell and specialise in bespoke
handmade fine jewellery. Keith is still involved in every aspect of the business and is also our master goldsmith. He is available to answer any
queries you may have and loves nothing more than to share his knowledge and 45 years expertise with our clients.
Why are your prices so much cheaper than the high street?
The Reason we can sell our rings for less than the high street is because we simply have fewer overheads than high–street multiple Jewellers, although
we have our own bricks and mortar store we make all of our products to order and carry only prototype stock enabling us to keep our costs to a minimum.
We also have our own on site workshop and design centre which gives us the ability to design and manufacture everything in house, eliminating the need to use 3rd parties and keeping costs to a minimum which we then can pass these saving on to our customers and making us among the most competitive.
Another pro to having everything all under one roof is manufacturing times are reduced to the minimum and quality control is in place every step of the way, from design to delivery.

NO, we are proud to say every product on our website and in store is manufactured to your exact chosen specification, we do not pick any items &off the shelf&
and just pack and post.
What security measures do you take to ensure my credit card details are safe?
We use a 128bit SSl Encryption on our checkout pages ensuring all billing and address details are kept between you and us, our site does not take your credit
card details either, you will be passed from the basket area to our payment gateway provided by Sage Pay, one of the largest and most trusted payment gateways in
the world.
How do you send the items?
We send many of our products via Royal Mail special delivery which is fully trackable and insured from door to door, if your item is of extremely high value
we may send it via a secure courier service.
You can rest assure that whichever service we use, your item will be fully trackable and insured to the appropriate value right up until you take receipt.
All our products are also shipped in a beautiful and elegant gift box and safely packaged to protect in transit.

Can I pay by cheque?
You can pay by cheque, however please not that production of your order will not start until the cheque has cleared in our bank account.
How much is delivery?
Delivery to the UK is free of charge, we also ship worldwide at a small cost, please see our delivery section for a list of these prices.
Can you deliver to work addresses?
Yes we can, delivery to an alternative address is not a problem, please state the alternative address within the basket/payment area once you are ready to
make your purchase.
I have found the same ring cheaper at xyz.com, can you price match?
Due to the nature of the products we sell and the amount of variables involved, we cannot guarantee to match any other quotations. For the service and
products we offer we believe to be among the cheapest online.
However if you can supply us with a genuine written quotation or a link to a UK based web page we will certainly look into this and see what we can do for you.

Can you deliver on a Sunday?
Unfortunately we cannot, the courier's we use do not currently deliver on a Sunday
Do you have a shop?

Which methods of payment do you accept?
We accept most major credit cards including American Express, bank transfers, Cheque and cash. Finance is also available on most of our products from
as low as 0% APR
How long does it take to make and deliver?

The item is a surprise - should I be worried about my partner seeing the package arrive?
NO, we ship all our products discretely ensuring there is nothing to suggest what is inside, even the return address will be under our official
company name and will display B.I.J Ltd.
Will my diamond(s) be certified?
Yes, we promise that every one of our single stone rings or loose diamonds .25ct or more will be independently certified by an internationally recognised
gem testing laboratory. The certificate will be dispatched shortly after the ring is sent for security purposes. We also certify the centre stone of our
trilogy rings based on the above principles.
We can also arrange on request for items with stones below .25ct or multiple stones In one piece to be certified, such as in our eternity rings and clusters etc, if this is not requested we will always issue our own in house diamond certificate based on the information given to us by our stone dealers.
All our rings are also supplied with a fully valuation for insurance purposes.
How do I measure my ring size?We can also arrange on request for items with stones below .25ct or multiple stones In one piece to be certified, such as in our eternity rings and clusters etc, if this is not requested we will always issue our own in house diamond certificate based on the information given to us by our stone dealers.
All our rings are also supplied with a fully valuation for insurance purposes.
Upon request we can sent you a free ring gauge, this gauge is slipped into the finger and adjusted much like a cable tie with finger size markings along it.
Please make sure you are able to slip the gauge over the knuckle once adjusted to fit.
Can you supply white gold without rhodium plating?
Yes we can, this will leave the ring with a strong yellow hue which some customers find an attractive quality, the strength of the yellow in the white metal
depends on the metals use in the alloying process and can vary quite differently, this is a feature we have little control on. If you require this please leave
a comment requesting this in the comments box in the basket area.
My Rhodium Plating has worn, what can I do?
Every ring purchased from Bell & Son comes with a lifetime MOT, send the ring back to us and we will clean and polish the ring back to a brand new standard free
of charge, we will even rhodium plate your white gold ring within this MOT if applicable. This offer covers the above for a maximum of twice within a 12 month
period for the amount of time the ring is in your possession.
Should my wedding ring be the same metal as my engagement ring?
Yes, there will always be rubbing and wear when two rings are worn together, if they are the same metal they will at least wear evenly. However, it is not paramount
that you must do this, wearing different metals together, for example a platinum wedding ring next to a white gold engagement ring will take a lot of excessive wear
for it to become noticeable, the only down side in this instance is the platinum being the harder alloy will wear the white gold down considerably more so that the
other way around.
Do you Offer any Guarantee on your products?
Yes, we offer a full 1 year manufacturers guarantee that cover your item against any manufacturer defects, this does not include general wear and tear, theft or loss.
What happens if I get the ring and don't like it?
We actively prompt our customers to research the different parts and materials that make up their ring in full before purchasing from our website, it is important that you are 100%
happy with every aspect of the ring before you proceed with the order.
